I nominate Dulce Torres, RN because she listened to my problems. I don’t speak English and she took time out of her busy day to help me pay my bills such as rent and utilities. If not for her, I think I would have lost my apartment. I don’t have family, can’t trust and feel abandoned by them. I was never blessed with any children but Dulce is like a daughter to me.

The gentleman who is nominating Dulce speaks no English. Dulce spent many hours assisting this gentleman to pay his WE energy bills on line. She then had to attempt to help him with his rent payment which was quite difficult as he did not know his exact address or who to call. She worked with the United Community Center and developed a plan for the patient’s rent to be paid automatically out of his account. The patient now feels comfortable staying here in the hospital to complete his medical plan of care.
