One of the first things my mom communicated to us was how nice Duncan is. She wrote it on a piece of paper for us to thank him!
Duncan was my mom’s nurse multiple times this week. There are many instances in which he went above and beyond in her care. He was very gentle, caring, and extremely patient. He never rushed through her care. My mom seemed to be in a happier mood when he was her nurse. My mom had her mouth operated on, and he read her body language really well. Here are just some things that made Duncan an amazing nurse:
1) He knew how my mom liked her pillows arranged.
2) He took very small, slow steps during my mom's walks.
3) My mom is very particular about being covered, and he always had an extra gown ready for her.
4) He cleaned her wounds and tapes so softly.
5) He had an amazing bedside manner. He explained everything he was doing- the who, what, where, and why.
6) he was always so nice to my mom, the patient, but even to all the visitors she had.
7) Overall, he made our stay wonderful. He was always one step ahead of us. He knew what was needed and when. One of the first things my mom communicated to us was how nice Duncan is. She wrote it on a piece of paper for us to thank him!
Thank you, Duncan!
