I never was concerned or questioned the level of attentiveness or quality of care she received when Dylan was her nurse and that gave me a higher sense of trust and peace during a stressful time.
My mom was at Chomp Hospital for over a month. I was there with her every day as she went from ICU to Garden, then ICU again, and on to Terrace.
Dylan Auker was my mom's nurse during both of her visits to the ICU. His professionalism and diligence were instrumental in my mom having her chance at recovery and being able to transfer to Garden.
I was in the hospital with Mom every day for that month and during almost all of the visiting hours. During that time, I witnessed many staff members attend to my mother. All of the staff were wonderful, but Dylan stood out for multiple reasons. His skill level and attention to detail were more like what you would expect from a nurse in the field for decades. Also, at the same time his positive energy, efficiency, and decisiveness brought highly competent care to my mom very quickly. I never was concerned or questioned the level of attentiveness or quality of care she received when Dylan was her nurse and that gave me a higher sense of trust and peace during a stressful time.
I also noticed, on several occasions, how well he worked with his team in the ICU. Dylan communicated information with professionalism and detail to all of Mom's Doctors, specialists, transport, and other support staff. When updating me on her condition, Dylan did a great job of balancing hard news in a detailed yet compassionate way that was easy to understand and as soft as possible to hear. Not only was he putting in all his effort for my mom, but he also put his heart into her care. After a time in the Garden section of Chomp, my mom had to be transferred back into the ICU. Dylan was again her nurse for a time, but my mom was a different patient, and her condition was declining a lot further. Dylan showed the same amazing level of treatment and compassion that both my mother and I needed. He relentlessly ensured that my mom was in the best condition and comfort level possible. I am so very grateful to Dylan. I am fortunate to have had such a competent and caring person by our side during this time. Thank you so much, Dylan!
