July 2026 Honoree
Dylan Gates, RN
Dylan had a very young, sad patient with cancer. This patient was weak, declining, and getting closer to passing away. The patient wanted certain foods to eat to attempt to maintain their strength. Dylan ordered food to be delivered to the hospital every night he cared for the patient, and he paid for it with his own money. Dylan also continued to check on the patient after the patient was transferred to the Hospice unit. Acts like these are truly what nursing is about; they take patient care to another level and deserve to be appreciated and celebrated.
Thank you, Dylan, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
