My husband came to MyMichigan with a brain tumor by ambulance from Covenant. My husband had a biopsy of the tumor, a shunt, a craniectomy, a trach, and a PEG. My husband was in MyMichigan for over one month. The staff was working on trying to get my husband transferred to Select in Ann Arbor.

My husband had a setback with bleeding from a reaction to the blood thinner, and this delayed him from going to Select. Nurse Dylan stepped up to work behind the scenes on necessary paperwork, coordinating departments to sign off and Physical therapy to show Select that my husband was improving to go to Select.

Dylan was willing to address any questions we had, communicating all that was happening with my husband. Dylan was the reason my husband made it to Select. The compassion and hard work Dylan displays daily as a nurse is the reason he deserves this DAISY Award.
