Dylan is always willing to go above and beyond for his patients and fellow staff members. A prime example of this can be displayed by the care of the patient on IPM. This patient had an HX of mental illness, violent outburst and was refusing lab work, vitals, any and all personal cares, housekeeping etc. Within a few days, Dylan got the patient to take his meds, shower, allow me, the CNA, to tidy up his room, change linens and get him to change his clothes. Dylan accomplished this by not getting frustrated with the patient's vulgar language and tantrums, thoroughly explaining who/what was next in his care plan, and by creating a good connection with the patient based on their common interest in bikes. Dylan even helped the patient by fixing his bicycle. To me, that is an example of a great nurse and an awesome person.
