My husband was in the hospital for twelve days. Dylann went above and beyond to care for my husband. She sat with him, and explained the do’s and don’ts of his new diet he was put on. She printed out paperwork to help guide him and highlighted important things on those documents. She also showed just how much she likes what she does. She treated me with compassion as well.

My husband and I were excited in the morning to find that she was his nurse again. She had de-escalated a situation that happened during shift change. She came back into the room after the bedside report to console us and apologize for someone else’s actions. She didn’t have to do that, but there again, she showed so much care for her patients and family. Her love and compassion for patients are definitely reasons for her to receive this award.
