Ebony was professional and not only listened to my father but made sure he knew she heard him and was actively working to get him better and keep him comfortable.
My father was admitted to the ICU and steadily declined prior to brain surgery. On the worst night, Ebony was his nurse. She listened to my concerns and began a thorough check on my father, his chart, and in the end called in the Doctor. Without Ebony, I believe my father would have remained in a bad state. Due to alarm, the procedure was moved up two days. Ebony was our nurse three times in the ICU. She was 100% focused each hour of each shift. She was committed to my father's well-being.

When awake from surgery, he was demanding, and Ebony didn't even flinch. She was professional and not only listened to my father but made sure he knew she heard him and was actively working to get him better and keep him comfortable. She did so many small things well. She never left trash on the bed. She had a gentle touch. She measured each fluid and took detailed chart notes. We got to know Ebony. This woman has a family, a dog, a full-time job, is in school, and is on the night shift. I cannot imagine having so many responsibilities and providing life-saving care to a 76-year-old brain surgery recoveree. Ebony only called my father Mr. G and was sure to always be clear and kind. While I may never see Ebony again, she will always be part of our family because she saved my father's life.
