Edgardo, AKA Junior, is a very selfless RN. I've never heard him complain, no matter what he has to do. There was a time when a caregiver from another unit was floated to our unit and he lost track of time and forgot to feed me. As a quadriplegic, I am unable to feed myself. With a stage IV wound, I've learned how important protein and nutrition is. Armed with this knowledge, Junior, who was in another unit, was gathering his belongings to leave for the day at 7:50 PM. Junior heard that I was upset that nobody fed me dinner. Not only did he check-in and talk with me, but he also set down all his belongings and stayed later to feed me. He is highly professional in whatever he does and is stone-cold in order to complete the tasks. I know without a shadow of a doubt that I will be in capable, compassionate, and trustworthy hands. Junior's DNA make-up consists of the ingredients of a highly exceptional nurse.
