My husband was a patient last month after having a heart attack with some complications. Edie was the nurse I saw the most during my time spent visiting with my husband. Her kindness to me in addition to her excellent and compassionate nursing care given to my husband helped to make that very trying time less stressful.
She took time to explain everything to me, to answer my questions, and always with a smile. One day my husband had a bloody nose which freaked me out. Edie handled it (and me) calmly and professionally. Though it was not a major concern or issue, it was to me, but she was extremely kind.
We were almost sorry to leave the ICU because it would mean she would no longer be my husband's nurse.
