January 2022 Honoree
Edith Cambri, RN
When I was unexpectedly sent to the SICU and placed on a vent, my 16-year-old daughter had to come in to possibly say goodbye to me. Because of COVID, she had to come in alone. My daughter told me later that Edith took care of her like a mom and comforted her when no one else could be with her. She said she has a positive attitude and would always talk to me even though I was confused. My daughter has wanted to become an ER nurse. I was afraid this experience would break her, and she would change her mind but to this day, she wants to be like Edith. She is strong, she is positive, she is caring.
Thank you, Edith, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
