Edna Austin, BSN, RN

My mom broke a bone in her knee and was in so much pain. Our nurse, Edna, came in and was so happy and positive. Her energy immediately changed my mom's mood. She was patient and went above and beyond to make her comfortable. At one point, she was doing my mom's hair. I thanked her and said that this was not in her job description. Her response was “Of course, this is love, and it’s exactly what my job is.” What a sweet soul! My mother is typically not a fan of nurses, but with Edna, she was laughing and asking for her phone number. Edna also understood what our family was experiencing and was supportive of us at the same time. Again, doing above and beyond her job responsibilities. Jesus loves her, and so do we!
