After working with the NCAL ANM Community of Practice since its inception, it is with heartfelt gratitude and admiration that I nominate Edoardo (Eddie) Morlet for the DAISY Leader Award. Eddie’s leadership, vision, and dedication have left an enduring mark on the Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) community, and his ongoing commitment to mentoring and guiding others continues to inspire all who work with him. As the pioneer who brought the ANM Community of Practice to life, Eddie’s impact cannot be overstated. While serving as an Assistant Nurse Manager at Kaiser Sacramento Medical Center, he had the foresight and passion to create a space where ANMs could come together to collaborate, grow, and support one another. His vision for the Community of Practice has flourished, now serving over 600 ANMs across Northern California and becoming an essential resource for new and experienced leaders alike. Even as Eddie has transitioned into his current role as a leader in Quality and Safety, his commitment to the ANM community has never wavered. Eddie continues to mentor new ANM leaders with the same authenticity, passion, and grace that have always defined his leadership.
