Edward truly went above and beyond with anything concerning my father’s care. It was during Edward’s shift when my father’s heavy medications stopped working. This caused a lot of confusion and paranoia, but Edward was very calm, patient and perfect for the help my dad needed at this crucial moment. He was comforting and had an awesome way of explaining things to him.
Things took a turn for the worse around 0400hrs. Edward noticed the smallest change in my dad’s snoring, so he decided to check my dad’s blood pressure sooner than planned. After this, the staff had to act very quickly and get my dad back on the vent because his CO2 levels were very high. We later learned that Edward saved our dad’s life by acting quickly. He noticed something very small, and being there for him at the right place and time is what saved my dad’s life.
I believe Edward was assigned to my dad for a reason and we thank God for Edward and the blessings that came our way because of him. Thank you for your patience, kindness, compassion, and for understanding and knowing what to do at a time like that.
