June 2018 Honoree
edwina ilagan, RN
My mother was a slightly difficult patient. Edwina was very patient with her.
I could not get my mom to walk after surgery at all but Edwina kept getting her up and not allowing her to make excuses.
My mom is also a recent opioid abuser and kept asking for more and more narcotics from everyone who would come into her room but Edwina patiently explained over and over that she could not have anything extra and why.
She appeared to have a firm but very caring way with the patients which I really appreciated.

Thank you, Edwina, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
