March 2021 Honoree
ehdel hogan, RN
I was lucky enough to have Ehdel as my Nurse for 3 nights of my 5-night stay. On my 1st night having Ehdel, I was feeling really bad and very low, as hospitals in the middle of the night can be dark and depressing. Ehdel came in with a smile and talked to me while changing bags. While doing meds, she told me that she loved being a Nurse, she loved helping people, and it showed! She came in during the night to make sure I was alright and cheered me up.
Ehdel told me that she worked the next day and I prayed she would be my Nurse again. When she walked into my room the next day with a smile that lights up the room, it made me so happy. I was again lucky enough to get her for my last night and had broken a fever. She was very busy that night, but she came in and gave me things to clean up and said she would be back. She gave me a clean bed and made me feel human. She is a true professional who not only cares about your medical care, but also about you as a person. Fort Loudoun Medical Center is lucky to have such a wonderful Nurse on staff. Thank you Ehdel.
