Eileen is a breath of fresh air. She is conscious of the comfort level of her patients. It is demonstrated by her demeanor, patience and willingness to go beyond her call of duty. Although my brother appeared to be unconscious or semi-conscious she explained to him what she was doing, and he appeared to relax. Her attention was so appreciated. She is an extraordinary nurse.

In caring for an unconscious patient, Eileen still treated him as if he was awake and aware of his surroundings. She treated him like a person, a human being, and not just a body. We always hope this type of nursing care is a source of comfort for our patients but in this case, we learned it was a big source of comfort for his sisters too. They, being elderly themselves, were able to rest easier knowing Eileen was taking care of their brother. This is another reminder that we care for not only the patient, but their family as well.
