Ela Gemma Taguba
With unwavering commitment to compassionate leadership and nursing excellence, COL Taguba NC (GSC) has distinguished herself as a transformative force in the Nursing Service of Victoriano Luna General Hospital. As Head of the Department of Nursing Personnel and Administrative Management (DNPAM), she has embodied the heart of a DAISY Nurse Leader by guiding with empathy, inspiring others to greatness, and fostering a culture where both patients and staff feel genuinely valued and cared for.
Beyond her exceptional administrative leadership, COL Taguba’s impact is most evident in the morale, development, and well-being of the nursing personnel under her charge. She institutionalized the Enhanced Personnel Relations Program, a platform through which she honored the contributions of staff via structured recognition systems such as the DAISY, TULIP, Patient’s Choice, and Amazing You Awards—paying tribute to those who serve with heart.
These initiatives have fostered a culture of appreciation, motivation, and pride across the Nursing Service.
