At 27 weeks pregnant we discovered our worst possible fear had occurred, our baby girl no longer had a heartbeat. What started as a routine check-up became an admission to UK for induction of labor. In the midst of this complete nightmare, our nurses showed us such compassion and incredible care. L and Lanie held my hands and helped me to breathe through an uncomfortable amniocentesis. When it was discovered that my blood pressure was spiking out of control, they worked tirelessly to get it back down to a safe range. After the delivery of our baby girl on the night shift, we were lucky enough to have Lanie back as our nurse the next day. Along with creating beautiful keepsakes for us, Lanie continued to show our family such kindness in allowing us as much time as we needed with our girl. We will forever be grateful for our phenomenal nurses walking beside us during the worst days of our lives.
