My wife was taken to critical care with fluid on her lungs while awaiting results from previous fluid that was drained. We were expecting it to show a spread of metastatic breast cancer. During our trip in the ICU I was very anxious and in a lot of pain and the nurses were fantastic. Elaine Daniel was taking care of my wife when the results confirmed the cancer and she brought so much comfort and support. She took care of my wife’s every need but also went the extra mile to look after her emotionally and support me. She negotiated for me to be allowed to stay with my wife after visiting officially ended which given the news we had just been giving was enormous. We felt that she genuinely cared and when she said she would do something she would. Every time. We are so grateful.
