Our daughter had a traumatic experience at a previous hospital. She feared all nurses, but Elaine always came in with a smile and ready to make friends. It took a week, but our daughter warmed up to her, even letting her hold her. Elaine involved our daughter by allowing her to "help" do meds in NG, played with her and spent extra time with her.
Our daughter had a bad reaction to one of the chemo's. The doctor wanted to wait and re-challenge her later that day. Elaine was supposed to get off at 3 PM, instead, she stayed with us and our daughter for the re-challenge. Our daughter had another reaction and Elaine ended up staying two hours past her time. We absolutely love her! We feel so happy when she walks through the door.
