Last summer, a patient in the CCU found that he was facing a terminal illness and may not make it out of the hospital. He had hoped to marry his long-time significant other. Nurse Elaine could not let this patient pass without offering to make the wedding a possibility for this couple.

The patient (and now his wife) jumped at the opportunity in spite of the pandemic. Elaine purchased paper decorations and set up the room for a wedding, and the two were married in the CCU. Marketing captured the special moment that will always hold a special place for that widow. Elaine is always this kind of nurse. Always advocating, always thinking outside the box for her patients.
