Recently I was a patient at WMC. Elaine McNeill was my nurse and she did many things to make my stay more comfortable. One of the most special things she did for me involved my grandbaby. My daughter was in the hospital in the birthing unit. She was going to have a C-section because the baby's heart rate was getting really low. I had not seen my daughter in 3 or 4 days. I wanted to see my daughter so badly, but my leg was not cooperating. Elaine said, "let me make a phone call". Elaine arranged for someone to come and take her place so she could put me in a wheelchair and take me to the birthing center to see my daughter and grandbaby. I will always remember what Elaine did for me. Elaine is a true servant and helper as well as an Extraordinary Nurse.
