Elaine was taking care of a homeless patient. The patient was very dirty when he came into the hospital and she helped him wash up and eventually had to throw away his clothes. The patient also had a pretty horrific wound on his foot which may have been caused by his shoes that were two sizes too small. After Elaine's shift, she went to Walmart and with the help (donations) from two of her co-workers, she purchased two pairs of jeans, a pair of sweat pants, a sweatshirt, a jacket, 4 shirts, underwear, and the correct size shoes. The patient was so excited, smiled a great big smile, and thanked Elaine.
