Elaine Navarro, RN

Elaine Navarro has worked night shift on the 4th floor for nearly eight years. In that time she has excelled as both a neuroscience nurse, a stepdown nurse, a preceptor, a relief charge nurse..as a friend and a coworker. I've lost count of how many patients have lauded her care and attention as a highlight of their stay. As a preceptor she has trained so many of her colleagues with compassion, patience, and excellence. As a relief charge nurse, she is calm, level-headed, and organized. Not only that, Elaine is an amazing artist. Stop by the 4th floor any time, and you will see her seasonal murals displayed behind the desk! It is a bright spot for staff, patients, and visitors alike, and she offers her skills freely. Elaine always has a smile ready and it always lights up a room. The 4th floor operates well in no small part because of Elaine, and I need to recognize her for what she gives to her patients, her peers, the organization, and the nursing profession.
