There were the weekend check-ins, balloons, bracelets, laughs over lunches and so much more.
Where do I even begin? There are numerous stories and accounts that secure why Elaine Pritchard is a DAISY Nurse, but I will stick to three significant instances:
The first would be her desire to make sure I felt connected and heard. Elaine did this by giving me her personal cell number and telling me to call any time. She also gave this to my family with the same sentiment. Then there were the weekend check-ins, balloons, bracelets, laughs over lunches and so much more.
The second would be her organizational skills that ensured all went well with my clinical trials which included tests being scheduled on the same day so that I didn't have to make the drive more often than needed and with my Stage 4 cancer. I could continue to enjoy my life rather than wasting another day driving to test appointments at the hospital.
Lastly, it's Elaine's infectious positivity that allows me to stay in a “growth mindset” and conquer on.
