My 85-year-old mom was in the ICU for a blood infection. She had erratic breathing and was agitated. Elena stayed by her side all night caring for her. She made her comfortable wetting her mouth with a sponge, putting lotion on her legs, and giving her chapstick as Mom slept. She explained the medicines Mom was taking intravenously so I knew what was going on. Elena was even caring towards me. She got me a blanket and pillow and offered me tea. Her professionalism, knowledge, and empathy were exceptional.
