When a patient's mother stayed in the ICU, Elexis Case's compassion and kindness made a world of difference in her care, and the effect it had on the whole family was nothing short of extraordinary. Elexis had cared for this patient once before on a previous stay in the ICU. The bond was evident, and Elexis was able to help navigate the patient's anxiety, care, and intense emotional state during her treatment.

When the patient was moved to a general floor, Elexis made a point to visit her and ensure her transition was smooth. Elexis ensured the family knew she was there for her and them if they needed anything, regardless of where her care was stationed. Her care went beyond the walls of the ICU, and for that, the family is forever grateful.
