I was in your hospital for 5 days with heart failure and pulmonary edema. I was very exhausted and felt scared, depressed, and hopeless. I am 87 years old and am hard of hearing. Hungarian is my first language, so I am not easy to communicate with. Elinor warmed my heart and brightened my day and made me feel inspired again. She was very attentive, kind, and patient with me. She made sure I understood what was going on and was proactive in my care. Even though she was 37 weeks pregnant she was always there for me with a smile and with effective and helpful assistance. Elinor was proactive. She anticipated what I needed and she came through each time with a warm and caring heart. The bathing and the urine tests were embarrassing to me but Elinor somehow made that go away, so I didn’t feel embarrassed or ashamed when we would go through those processes. Elinor is a stand-out human being. In my 87 years, she is my favorite caretaker I have ever had. The world needs more people like Elinor.
