Elinor Pettee, BSN, MSN, RN-BC, ANCC
Ellie has been a nurse for 52 years, over 20 of which have been served at Pine Rest, most recently in the Partial Hospitalization Program. During that time, she has earned a reputation as an excellent clinical instructor with a true passion for psychiatric nursing. These qualities inspired her nomination:
“I met Ellie as a new nurse manager but knew her by reputation as an excellent clinical instructor. Initially, I felt a little intimidated to be working with a nurse with so much skill, experience, and knowledge. But over time, what I learned about Ellie is that she is an encourager, she is passionate about psychiatric nursing, and she is great support for nursing students and new nurses.”
As Ellie now prepares to retire, her colleagues reflect on her longstanding career with wistful admiration.
