Elisa served as our baby's nurse practitioner in the NICU for over half of our stay. As first time parents, we were scared and stressed. Elisa was with me and my wife during the delivery and provided several updates during the first 48 hours when the doctors were trying to determine what type of care our baby needed. At times, those updates required telling us about potential procedures that no parent wants to hear. She was able to tell us in a matter of fact manner that we knew was hard for her to do, but it was part of her job. Thankfully, the most invasive procedures were not needed. However, we knew Elisa wanted to reassure us that there would not be any major surprises during this incredibly stressful time. Whether it was in our room, in the hallway, or even in the cafeteria, she always encouraged us and helped us stay positive throughout our visit. We know that what she did for us is simply who she is and what she does for all of her patients. That's the true sign of excellent service! We will forever be grateful for Elisa.
