October 2025 Honoree
Elisabeth C Salas, RN
My dad, a World War II Navy Veteran, is 99 years old. Arriving at this age has been a team effort, with many thanks to Nurse Elizabeth Salas. In every visit, she is smiling, courteous, and respectful. She anticipates my father’s needs and follows up on orders.
Not only is she conscientious, but she also understands Dad’s problems and has creative solutions. For example, when my dad was prescribed a new external catheter, she researched helpful ideas for him and suggested additional items such as absorbent bed sheets and plastic covers. Another example was when Nurse Elizabeth helped Dad with his hearing loss. She offered a possible aid for other patients and did not hesitate to contact the doctor to place the order.
She gives hope with every visit. He is not alone on his team with Nurse Elisabeth. We look forward to celebrating Dad's 100th birthday soon, and if we make it, many thanks to Nurse Elizabeth.
