I have had the privilege of working with many extraordinary nurses in internal medicine who go above and beyond every day. However, Elise regularly exceeds the highest standards. She made chocolate shakes throughout the day to ensure a terminally ill patient with brain metastases would receive nutrition.
Armed with a chocolate shake, Elise walked her patient up and down the halls of the unit. This provided time for the physician and the patient's family to make important discussions about his care.
Elise treats every single patient as if he or she were her family member. She takes the absolute best, most extraordinary care of every one of her patients. I couldn't be more proud of her.
