Elise Mitchell, RN

Elise Mitchell was always kind and caring. She always had a smile on her face. I remember one day I was freezing, and she turned the heat up for me. She always asked me if I needed anything else or if she could get me anything else.

I was feeling down because of being in the hospital and not being able to take care of myself or my hair. She told me, “Your hair looks fine”. That put a smile on my face. Elise always went above and beyond to make me feel cared for and that my needs were met. I was given excellent care by everyone. She is a very special nurse to me.

I will always remember her kind words and her smiling face. She was always compassionate and caring and was always so positive. Elise gave me a hug and said she hoped to see me one day outside of the hospital. That meant a lot to me. She is an exceptional nurse. She is a great asset to UNC Caldwell.

Thanks to everyone who took care of me. You were all great.
