Elita was the most kind, caring, compassionate RN I have ever met. My father was admitted on and we were unable to speak with any doctor or trauma team person until the next day. Elita was very understanding of our need for answers as we were faced with the possibility of removing life support. From the moment she was assigned to us, she was absolutely THE BEST. Her heart touched ours as she helped us to understand what was happening and her efforts to get a doctor to come to speak with us about my father's condition and prognosis were very much appreciated.
In the end, the decision was to remove life support the next day. Elita actually changed her work schedule in order to be there for us that morning. I cannot express how much that meant to me because she had become a very important part of the entire situation with my father. Elita is a DAISY Nurse as she helped us to feel better about everything and our decision.
