I am a traveler in PACU and I have been to a lot of hospitals and seen a lot of leadership in my time, but I am sure that Elizabeth is one of the best and is truly a servant leader. I can count on her to not only put her patients first but all patients. She is truly deserving of this award.

Some things that led me to nominate her are: 1. She spent over an hour with a patient fixing a pharmacy issues where the meds were sent but not received. The patient was absolutely distraught but Elizabeth did not give up until the issue was fixed. 2. Anytime a caller is accidentally routed to the unit, she accepts it, finds out what they need, and helps or gets them to who can. She takes on issues outside of her area. 3. When the unit is short, she stays late or comes early, always doing whatever is necessary 4. She rounds on other units to maintain a sense of teamwork 5. She spends extra time helping the surgeons to assure her patients get the best care. She even spent time once working with IT to fix a printer. 6. She helps travelers like myself acclimate and have a positive experience Elizabeth is so warm, welcoming, and responsible, the perfect face for all patients and staff.
