Elizabeth Scruth has devoted her career to the Kaiser Permanente organization for many years. Liz has always exemplified a true leader. She cares about each and every one of her team members. She keeps her team informed daily, working on a shared vision. She is always accessible and available. Elizabeth truly believes every person deserves as much respect as anyone else. She encourages us to continue to learn, obtain our national certifications, and stretch our wings in our professional development. Every day, she encourages her team to take time to be with family, go outside, get fresh air, and decompress. Her compassion and dedication make us proud to be working with her, not "under" her. Elizabeth is greatly appreciated; she has our respect and admiration.

Lizzie is an amazing leader who is constantly inspiring her team to excel in new and exciting ways. I have lost count of their accomplishments: conference presentations, both domestic and international; journal article reviews in print and podcast; journal article quiz sessions for group learning; certificates of higher learning such as CCRN, CCRN-K, CPHQ, CEN, and more; and in 2024 daily TCC quizzes. Our team is so much stronger because of her leadership. I don’t think her numbers are matched by anyone in KP, but I am biased. 

On a personal level, Lizzie is quick to support us when we have a family who is sick or in special need. One of our team member’s husbands is requiring intense care. Lizzie is very quick to support that employee. My daughter-in-law is having shunt issues, again, from a benign brain tumor. Lizzie helps me by listening and suggesting ways for my son to better interact with her doctors and staff for the maximum benefit for all. These are caring moments at their best!
