Sometimes in life, God sends us angels when we need them most. For weeks, I spent every day from 9 to 9 with my father, he was a complicated patient, and those days were not easy.

Liz, you were one of those angels. You have an empathetic soul and a grace that’s uniquely your own. Your bedside manner isn’t something that can be taught; it comes from the heart. You always seemed to know just what to do and say, not just for my father, but for me, too. When I felt lost, you walked beside me. You looked out for us caregivers with endless questions and heavy hearts. In the midst of my emotional chaos, you somehow managed to teach me things about myself I never knew.

Thank you for being there for me, and for the special care you gave my father during nearly a month of his greatest need.

I hope you have people in your life who love you the way you loved my father, with compassion, patience, and kindness. You truly made a difference in our lives.
