My sister was a patient and was very ill on so many levels. She coded three times and the team brought her back to life each time she coded. Throughout all of this, Elizabeth provided a consistent presence for my sister and our family. She always took the time to explain things to us. She made it possible for my sister to use her cochlear implant allowing the sore over her magnetic implant to heal. When Elizabeth assessed my sister, she noticed any small signs of discomfort, pain, frustration, and sadness. This was so difficult, and I would need 20 or more pages to explain all of this to you. I am expressing my admiration, gratitude, trust, relief, and hope in this amazing young nurse- her heart, mind, work, and ethics.
