We have had several critical trauma patients come into the ICU in the last 2 months & have worked with Liz on several. She is helpful with communication with family members & providers. She creates trust in these relationships with family members during some of the worst moments of their lives. We recently lost a Pedi patient unexpectedly coming back from OR and her role in end-of-life transition was so important for the parents & siblings. A day later she came back to ICU for an update on another case, she was able to sit & reflect with me on the events of the day before. I want to thank her for being present to reflect with me. We all took the loss hard & it was nice to talk with someone that understood. Thank you, Elizabeth for being there for family, but there for me too! I appreciate the reflection, hug & emotional check in.
