Elizabeth Bateman, BSN, RN

Elizabeth is the nurse manager for peds heme/onc and peds infant toddler. In March, she was diagnosed with a life-changing diagnosis. She immediately went to surgery, then faced 16 weeks of treatments and finally 31 straight days of radiation. During the last 9 months, she only missed 4 weeks of work. She never faltered. She remained positive and excited to be back. Her drive to show up to work every day reminded her teammates, her staff, and her patients of the importance of getting up and appreciating the day you’re given! While at home recovering, she offered daily encouragement to me and the team. She was always checking in and finding ways to be helpful from home. She is so caring, kind, creative, and energetic! She brings energy to our children’s management team that we would deeply miss without her! Thank you for all that you do, Elizabeth!
