My dear friend came in to deliver a baby that she was told would be delivered stillborn. We arrived late at night to Liz who was incredibly tender, loving and provided information in a way that helped make some sense of the unthinkable. There were many times she answered questions that my friend had, with a grace I have rarely seen. She would leave the room with the words, "If there is anything you all need, anything at all, let me know. I want you to know we are here for you". She supported us through a long night. Morning came and the unthinkable was upon us. We ushered our friend through this horrific experience, and I continued to think of the foundation of comfort Liz brought to us.
