Elizabeth was my nurse for 3 days out of my 5-day stay. This is the second card I'm filling out in hopes it betters her chances of recognition! On the first card, I generalized her and my encounter. To add some detail specific to how she made me feel human/seen/heard throughout my stay, I felt appropriate to tell some of the ways she will stay in my heart. 1. Allowing me to get up and shower earlier than typical, to help my recovery and routine. 2. Finding me broken down crying on my bed after a breakthrough moment (she only came to give me meds), but stayed with me, listened, and talked until I felt uplifted and we shared a laugh. I will say again as I did on the first card: good bedside manner; seems to be the exception to the rule these days.
