Elizabeth C Shanks, RN

I was a patient in the emergency department and had a very hard time getting anyone to listen to me. Elizabeth went out of her way to sit down and talk with me about what was going on in my life. I felt she was the only one who cared to listen to me. She was able to calm me down when I was having a hard time with all that was going on in my life. She took the time out of her day even when she wasn't my nurse to help me get my meds. She made sure that I was eating during my long stay in the department. She was so caring and compassionate to my needs. I am grateful that I had such an amazing and caring nurse. Because of her, I am now looking into ways of helping others that suffer from depression and anxiety in a positive way.
