Pediatrics had a child with a MIC-KEY button admitted who needed his feeds. We realized we no longer stocked the extension tubing set compatible with his MIC-KEY and could not find the set required anywhere in Flagstaff. Through the amazing network of FMC employees reaching out via personal connections, we discovered Elizabeth Caccavale had the set we needed at home and offered to let the patient have it. She was leaving town when she got the call and turned around to ensure our patient got what he needed right away. Elizabeth’s generosity was above and beyond and made a tangible impact on this child, who would have likely suffered unintended consequences from hospital supply issues. Thank you, Elizabeth!
