Ellie, today you went above and beyond for a comfort care patient, S, and his wife, M. Knowing that M felt safe enough with you as her husband’s nurse to talk about her emotional burdens speaks volumes to the care you provide! You are so present and compassionate to your patients, especially when it counts. Having all the staff sign a card for the family was thoughtful, but getting flowers for M was so kind! I just know you made her feel seen as she prepared to lose her husband. You're a stellar nurse, and we are so lucky to have you!

Ellie and I were handing off report to each other for a couple of days. One of our patients was on comfort care and then transitioned to hospice. Ellie went above and beyond to provide comfort and condolences to a grieving family. The care that I witnessed from Ellie was beyond notable and respectful. She truly made a difference for a family going through a very difficult time.
