Beth willingly precepts new employees and mentors nursing school students. Beth always shares her knowledge with all staff from new and experienced RNs to support staff and APPs. Beth will support everyone in the unit. 
Beth showers her patients with love and attention. She reviews their plan of care and discusses their goals. The patient and family are always a part of the decision-making process. Beth consistently displays the I-CARE values in caring for her patients, taking the time out to listen to patients and family, and addressing concerns.  She cares for them as if they are her family. 
Beth contributes to the smooth running of the unit with her excellent communication skills with all members of the healthcare team. Beth often does relief charge and manages the patient flow and helps with all patient care-hands on!!  Beth is the go-to preceptor for our unit. She helps build up the novice nurse to be proficient in the care they deliver. Beth follows evidence-based practices and is always looking for the best care for her patients. Beth holds herself to the highest standards consistently.  
Beth is very respectful of her patients, their families, and their wishes. She is friendly and professional in her conduct at all times.  She makes sure to maintain patient dignity. She continuously updates the patient’s family to include them in the care of the patient. 
Beth is definitely a role model for staff to follow. She is a senior staff member and mentor to junior staff. She always has a smile on her face, even when the unit is frantic. She helps maintain a sense of calm when she is working in charge or has an assignment. Beth has excellent assessment skills. The doctors & APPs always breathe a sigh of relief when they see her at the bedside of a very sick patient as they know they have an expert at the bedside! Beth is one of our most clinically competent RNs!
