Elizabeth Crawford demonstrated compassionate care for an elderly patient during her sophomore clinical rotation. The manner in which Ms. Crawford cared for her patient, maintained the patient's dignity and warmed the hearts of the staff and her clinical instructor. To quote, "her actions reminded us nurses of why we were nurses". Ms. Crawford's care and compassion did not stop with the nursing provided, but she used her own personal funds and provided the patient with some much needed additional personal items.
