Liz is always willing to lend a helping hand and provides exceptional care to our patients. Her kindness and passion shine through in everything she does to ensure quality and compassionate care.
This nurse leader was nominated nine times; this is a compilation of those nominations.
I have worked for Winthrop/NYU in the outpatient dialysis unit for 32 years. During that time, I have met and worked with many nurses. Today, I am writing to nominate one very special nurse: Liz. Liz is one of the kindest, most compassionate nurses I have ever known. Her work with our patients is of the highest quality. She is loved and respected by our patients and by all of the staff.
Liz is an absolutely gifted nurse. She is always willing to pick up the baton and move patient care forward at all times. Her dedication and commitment to the unit and the patient community is second to none. Her presence and encouragement lift everyone’s spirit around her.
As an Assistant Nurse Manager, she goes above and beyond every day and continually finds ways to improve the workplace for both staff and patients. Liz promotes teamwork through her actions as she supports her peers in the day-to-day functions of the department and through her responsiveness to requests and inquiries. She's knowledgeable, caring, loving, and hardworking. Liz makes a difference in the dialysis unit when she identifies opportunities for improvement and corrects and counsels with respect and love. Her efforts help to make our department a place where we would be proud and comfortable bringing our own family members for care. I would trust Liz with my care and my family's care.
Liz builds connections with the interdisciplinary team and supports the integral role they play in the patient’s care. Liz views patient care comprehensively and supports an integrative approach to caring for our patients. She is always willing to lend a helping hand and provides exceptional care to our patients. Her kindness and passion shine through in everything she does to ensure quality and compassionate care.
I have been in healthcare for over 25 years, working in several facilities, and I can truly say that Liz is a shining star.
It is both a pleasure to work with and watch her work on behalf of the patients. Brava La Liz! Brava indeed!!
She is an exceptional person who will continue to thrive and excel. NYU is fortunate to have her on its team. Liz is a flower who will bloom wherever she is planted.
