Elizabeth Burr's exceptional dedication and insightful suggestions have significantly improved the care and well-being of our patients. Recently, Elizabeth played a crucial role in supporting a patient returning to our skilled nursing facility after a rehospitalization for agitation. Recognizing that this patient is a non-English speaking Polish patient, Elizabeth suggested using an iPad or a Polish TV channel to help her feel more at home. She also facilitated communication with the patient’s daughter, who is working to secure a larger apartment through Elder Housing so that she can live with her and receive care from her nurse daughter. Implementing Elizabeth's thoughtful suggestions makes this patient noticeably calmer and less agitated. Elizabeth's proactive approach and deep understanding of the patient's needs have made a remarkable difference in her quality of life. Elizabeth exemplifies the qualities of compassion, empathy, and excellence in patient care. Her dedication to personalized patient care makes her deserving of recognition.
